Falael also had a gift for music. He assembled an orchestra of hedgehogs, weasels, crows, and lizards and trained them in the use of musical instruments. So skillfully did they play and so melodious were their tunes that King Throbius allowed them to play at the Great Pavanne of the Vernal Equinox. Falael thereupon tired of the orchestra. The crows took flight; two weasel bassoonist attacked a hedgehog who had been beating his drum with too much zeal, and the orchestra dissolved.
